Once a year, tha gates of the Nexus open. Those with enough credits are let in, to lead a life of comfort and peace, far from the strife of the wasteland.

This dream is what fuels the growth of the slums around the Nexus. A sprawling, rough city, that receives a constant influx of people who come attracted by the ad broadcasts coming from the tower.

Our hero did collect aneough credits to get in, however, the Nexus did not open that year, or the next... 

He decided to use the cash to duct tape a decrepit landing module into flying condition and rise to the top of the nexus, where he could access the security central.
